Learning a language is a core component of the ACT curriculum framework. All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 have weekly Indonesian lessons in the language classroom. Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) is an accessible language for primary school students. It has regular letter sounds and uses the English alphabet. Lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging with an emphasis on listening to and speaking Indonesian. Students have access to the computer room and use a number of Indonesian language websites to assist their learning.
